These included Free Trade Promotions with Chile, Colombia, and South Korea.
Following this, Karl entered private sector consulting and began providing international trade consulting services under the umbrella of Crane and Associates, a U.S.-based consultancy, while traveling extensively in Latin America, Europe, and North Africa, making connections with people from all over the world and gaining familiarity with foreign cultures and business practices. During this time he also developed fluency in the Spanish language having spent a significant amount of time in Spain. Most recently he has been spending extended periods of time in South America, working on various projects in the region, and is set to be in Asia in early 2013.
